My father Sandy – passed away on Tuesday 26th April 2011, 87 years old,  following an operation in Nanaimo Hospital.

He fell late Sunday afternoon and broke his hip.  He was transferred to Nanaimo where there had to be a 48 hour delay in the operation due to his many medical problems and he had a cardiac arrest immediately after the op whilst in recovery.

I am over for at least a month to sort out his and Mum’s affairs.

The cremation will be on Friday 6 May at 3pm at Yates Funeral Parlour Allsbrook Road, Nanaimo just off of the Inland Highway (Canada).

Flowers from immediate family with donations from friends to either the Heart and Stroke Society or Diabetics Society.

Regards   Alan Powell
